Established in 1979 and Chartered by Act 76 of 1993, ANAN has grown into a premier professional accountancy organization, shaping the future of financial expertise in Nigeria and beyond.
With a commitment to its Vision of making ANAN a premium brand of choice in professional accounting practice in Nigeria and to impact on accounting education and practice in a profound and comprehensive manner, and its Mission of advancing the science of Accountancy in Nigeria, pioneering a multi-disciplinary emphasis in the production of well-rounded, well-blended, and well-honed professionals, profound in knowledge, skillful in practice and ethical in conduct, ANAN operates a world-class Nigerian College of Accountancy (NCA), where aspiring professionals receive cutting-edge training, and , ANAN University, a specialized institution dedicated to accounting education and research. This two institutions provide advanced learning opportunities to develop future industry leaders. ANAN remains the only accountancy body with a residential college and university in the world.
ANAN has over 58,000 nominal members in 47 branches across the length and breadth of Nigeria, UK, Cameroon, and Cote d’Ivoire. Our members, known as Certified National Accountants (CNAs), play critical roles in government, corporate organizations, and global financial institutions, driving transparency and economic growth. ANAN has made astute strides both in the National and International fronts, ANAN is an active Board Member of Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA), Council Members of Accountancy Bodies in West Africa (ABWA) and Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN).
