ANAN engendering legacies of innovation

The President, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Rev. Canon Prof. Benjamin Chuka Osisioma has highlighted strides of the Association in accountancy innovation.He stated this during an interview on Rima FM 97.1 Sokoto State on Monday 17th October, 2022 on the sidelines of its 6th Session of 2022 Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) programme in Sokoto State.

The President noted that the Association in its quest for an homegrown Accountancy profession developed the Collegiate system of training and examination which birthed the Nigerian College of Accountancy in Kwall, Plateau State.He further said that the drive for more innovative techniques of enhancing accountancy learning and practice engendered ANAN University, Kwall, Plateau State.

Prof. Osisioma said these ingenious evolutions have revolutionized systems of accountancy professionalization and specialization.He called on accountants to leverage benefits of the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) programme in acquiring more expertise for optimal service delivery.

ANAN Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Kayode Olushola Fasua in his remarks admonished members of the profession to harness benefits of reskilling and networking availed by the Association’s MCPD programmes in improving their professional competence and capacity.
