ANAN tasks new members on ethical, professional demands

Newly inducted members of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) have been advised to be commited to the accountancy code of ethics in their professional engagements while harnessing innovative developments in the profession.

This was contained in an address delivered by ANAN President, Dr. James Ekerare Neminebor during the Induction ceremony for new members of the Association on Wednesday 16th October, 2024 in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

The President urged the inductees to be ethically and professionally responsible, having been proven to be fit and proper in character and learning with the readiness to abide by the ethics of the profession.

ANAN Membership Secretary, Prof. Suleiman Aruwa in his speech noted that the Induction ceremony is designed to formally admit into the Association’s membership fold, individuals with satisfactory training performance at the Nigerian College of Accountancy and the requisite competence to deliver valuable services to the society.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Association, Dr. Kayode Olushola Fasua in his remarks admonished the new members to leverage the Association’s Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) and other training programmes in enhancing their relevance, dynamism and impact.

A total of 667 members were inducted at the ceremony.
