In harnessing the values of Nigeria’s new tax laws for economic rebound, the President of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Chief Hajia Zuwairat Talatu Kishimi has advised professional accountants to evolve with latest policies, strategies, and digitally-enabled tools.
The President made this known while opening the First Session of the Association’s Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) on Tuesday 17th February, 2026 in Abuja.
She noted that the practice, intellectual, and advisory skills of accountants has become increasingly expedient as the nation stands at a pivotal moment in its economic history, where informed decisions are required to navigate complexities and uncertainties.
Chief Kishimi advocated greater proficiency in tax administration, compliance, cybersecurity, data analysis, and emerging technologies.
ANAN Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Alhaji Tijani Mohammed Musa in his remarks charged members of the Association to leverage ANAN training programmes in attuning with global accounting dynamisms for improved service delivery.
