The President of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Chief Hajia Zuwairat Talatu Kishimi has stated that Nigeria’s evolving tax landscape requires greater commitment from accountants in advisory services, in ensuring efficiency, compliance, and economic development.
She stated this during an interview on Nigeria Info 95.1FM on Monday 16th February, 2026 on the sidelines of the Association’s 2026 First Session of Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) programme in Abuja.
The President asserted that the MCPD theme, “Tax Reforms and Fiscal Sustainability” was inspired by the need to discuss and break down the technicalities in the Nigeria’s new tax laws.
This, she said, will inform strategic financial planning, solution-oriented networking, and quality service delivery.
