ANAN ATTAINS FULL MEMBERSHIP OF IFAC
The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria was admitted into FULL membership of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) Friday 7th November,2014 in Rome, Italy. IFAC Governing Council announced the admission yesterday during her November meeting held at Westin Excelsior Hotel, Rome. The meeting was part of the activities lined up for the World Congress of Accountants(WCOA),2014 holding in Rome from Monday November 10 – Thursday, November 13, 2014. About 250 members of ANAN are already in Rome for the Congress.
ANAN became Associate of the World Accountancy body in December 2012 .
Handing over the Certificate of membership to ANAN President ,Alhaji Sakirudeen Tunji Labode, FCNA the new IFAC President, Olivia Kirtly ,congratulated the Association on her admission into full membership of IFAC.
Two other Professional Accountancy Organizations(PAOs),Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and Dutch Institute of Management Accountants were also admitted as members of IFAC while three other PAOs were admitted as Associates.
